Ruffled Valentine Cupcake Toppers
Supplies:
- Cupcakes stamp
- Pigment Ink
- Clear embossing powder
- Embossing heat tool
- Paper
- Tissue paper
- Double-sided tape
- Cupcakes
- Toothpicks
- Scissors

It wouldn’t be a RubberStamps.com DIY without a good pun! Our “Just a cupcake looking for a stud muffin” stamp makes us chuckle every time. And look! They're holding hands! Too cute.
We decided to emboss this impression to add some polish. Simply stamp, sprinkle embossing powder, and warm it with an embossing heat tool.
After cutting out a circle around the stamp impression, we covered the back with double-sided tape to add the ruffled tissue paper.
To ruffle: Stick a corner of a strip of tissue paper to the taped-up circle. Fold the tissue into pleats around the edge, making sure to stick each pleat down on the tape as you go (you can add more tape if needed).
Keep folding around until you make a full circle. Trim it up to your desired length – we chose a little less than half an inch.
Once the ruffling is done, tape a toothpick or small stick to the circle and stick it in a cupcake. This is a simple do-it-yourself that makes holiday goodies that much more festive!
