Branding with Custom Logo Stamps: Southern Maid Donuts Colorado

Southern Maid Donuts was opened in 1937 in Louisiana by Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Hargrove, a young couple coming out of the throws of the Great Depression. They created Southern Maid because they saw the need in the market for quality donuts. They created their own recipes with quality ingredients and special processes, which have stood the test of time.

Jerry Dupree grew up in Shreveport, LA and has always been a fan of Southern Maid Donuts. He and his family have lived in eastern Colorado Springs since 2000. Recently he had the opportunity to follow a dream and open his favorite donut shop in the area he now calls home. It is now his goal to be the best donut shop in Colorado!

Jerry got the idea to use a custom rubber stamp from a coffee shop he visited on a recent trip. He thought that using a stamp would be a clever way to establish his brand identity, so he ordered a custom stamp with the Southern Maid logo on it. The shop is now using the stamp to brand their coffee cup sleeves and donut bags with their logo. Having bags and sleeves printed was too expensive, and Jerry feels that using the stamp is a much more cost effective way to get their brand name out to the public.

We love the idea of using logo stamps as a tool for branding. Not only is it a cost effective option, but it is unique and something extra that customers will notice.
