How to Stamp With Multiple Colors

If you're looking to add a little extra pizzazz to your rubber stamping projects, why not try using multiple colors? With custom logo stamps, self inking stamps, and craft stamps, it's easy to create multi-color designs that will really stand out. Here are two ways to stamp with multiple colors!

Using Multiple Colors With Self-inking Stamps

Materials Needed:

1. Prepare Your Self-Inking Stamp Pad

When it comes to coloring your self-inking stamp pad the sky is the limit. If there is a color you feel matches the season or a theme that defines you, now is the time to have fun! Play around with different combinations and find what you like best. There is no right or wrong way to use multi color stamps! Once you have decided on colors, simply apply the colors to a dry ink pad and you're ready to go.

2. Stamp!

Now that colors have been decided, and your multicolor ink pad is ready to go, it's time to get stamping. With a self-inking stamp we recommend allowing the ink pad to press against your stamp several times before first use so that it is fully covered in ink.

How to Use Multiple Colors With Craft Stamps

Materials Needed:

1. Prepare Your Stamp

When it comes to rubber stamps and clear stamps the ink pad does not need to be colored. Instead, the stamp itself can be colored using a brush or sponge. Ensure you have a nice coat of ink but do not overink as this could lead to a sloppy design. Practice makes perfect and with multicolor stamping it is no different. The more you get a feel for how much ink to use and what colors work best together the better your designs will turn out.

2. Stamp!

Once your stamp is ready to go the only thing left is to try stampng. Just like the self inking stamp example practice is going to get you comfortable with the process, but there is no limit to your creativity.

With a little bit of creativity, you can easily add multiple colors to your rubber stamping projects! Just follow the tips above and you'll be on your way to creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind designs.
